Pitbull has scored his first UK No.1 single as a principal artist with Give Me Everything, after knocking Bruno Mars' The Lazy Song from the top spot.

The rapper, who has teamed up with Ne-Yo, Afrojack and Nayer for the tune, climbed three places to take poll position, while LMFAO's former chart topper fell to No.

While Pitbull may be celebrating taking the top spot, Lady GaGa has turn the first female artist since Ruby Murray in 1955 to make four songs in the upper half of the UK singles countdown.

GaGa follows in the footsteps of legendary artists John Lennon and Michael Jackson, after her cross The Edge Of Glory remained at No.6 and Judas climbed back into the top ten to take eighth place.

Lady G's LP teaser tune Hair was a new entry at No.13, while Born This Way completes her four songs, jumping eight places to sixteenth position.

Meanwhile in the Official UK Album chart, Adele has managed to hold onto the top spot with her record-breaking album, 21, meaning the show has spent a cool sixteen weeks at No.1.

The 23-year old songstress fought off tough competition from Kate Bush's Director's Cut - which had to decide for 2nd place - as Adele's debut LP, 19, stayed at No.3.

The 2nd highest new entry came from Friendly Fires' Pala which entered the countdown at No.6, while Caro Emerald: Deleted Scenes From The Piercing Room Floor jumped from No.140 to take tenth place.
